The Really Local Food Directory highlights the wide range of local producers within a 10 mile radius of our villages. Some Sussex regulars at Hassocks Village Market are also included. We also list local shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants which source some of their food locally. We hope this Directory will help you do the same.

The Directory aims to increase the demand for locally produced food. Through local food we can reduce food miles, impact our carbon emissions and mitigate the effect of climate change. Most of all we can access delicious and healthy food that’s good for us and our planet.

Free-range pork, lamb and hogget from a small farm at Hamsey and Albourne.  I have a mixed flock of sheep: Jacob, Shetland, Beulah and Romney ewes, and both a Shetland and Southdown ram. The rare breed pigs live outdoors on grass and woodland. Sells lamb at Lewes Farmers Market and for home delivery. I am a small producer and usually have meat available once a month.​
